French Ligue 1 2009/10
Monaco vs Boulogne
Stade Louis II (Monaco), 28 February 2010, Kick-off, 02:00 (GMT
+8:00)
Monaco
Monaco know they would waste a golden chance to grab 3 points
at home should they failt to dispose of Boulogne here at home.
A comfortable win over bottom club Boulogne should be the
order of the day. 23 points separate the two clubs and Monaco
are sitting pretty at 7th place, just 7 points off 4th place.
Although they were rudely shocked in their last home match, but
the 1-2 loss to Marseille should not dampen their spirit.
Prior to that loss, Monaco were unbeaten in 5 matches here,
including a 4-0 whitewash of 2nd placed Montpellier.
Boulogne
Boulogne have lost their last away match at 3rd placed Lille
and have only scored 3 in 5 games.
They welcome back Gregory Thil after a long lay-off and mthis
should solve their attacking problems. But they are up against
a Monaco side who are unbeaten at home in 2010.
Though the visitors held mighty Bordeaux at the leader's own
den in the last game of January, they have lost to Lille & Lyon
on the road and they would have to be at their best to stop
MOnaco from doing the double over them this season.
Match Prediction
Monaco would look to maintain their near perfect record at home
this season and is defintely the stronger side. While Boulogne
may be despearte for points but their inability to create and
finish off chances may play to their downfall this season. A
2 - 0 win tonight should be more than enough for the
host.
